Since last 7 years Prabha-Hira Pratishthan" has been working actively in the society against AIDS."AIDS"has been showing its monstrous nature during last 5 to 6 years.Further there are many orphan children whose parents were died due to AIDS.Nobody from the society is coming forward to take the responsibility of such children.


We Prabha-hira has undertaken this unique work through a special project call "Palawi"at Pandharpur. Palawi means "foliage"is among a very first few NGO in INDIA to understand the ramification's of HIV/AIDS epidemic & to take steps to rehabilitate this innocent orphaned children & women.

We provide them nutritional food,residence,primary education,medical treatment & last but not least love,care & mental support which they require most. At present there are 51children of age 5 months to 14 years are getting rehabilitated at PALAWI.

The work under taken by our NGO is one of the works of national duty.Your contribution & suggestions can increase the enthusiasm of the children & also ours.So we request you to take out some time to visit our project from your busy schedule & oblige.

कोल्हापूर - "सकाळ'मुळेच एड्‌सग्रस्तांच्या मुलांना मायेचे kमिळाल्याच्या भावना मंगलाताई शहा यांनी आज येथे व्यक्त केल्या. श्रीमती शहा यांचा येथील श्री सद्‌गुरू विश्‍वनाथ महाराज ट्रस्टतर्फे "माऊली आनंदी' पुरस्काराने गौरव करण्यात आला, त्यावेळी त्या बोलत होत्या. पुरस्काराने माझ्या कार्याला बळ मिळाल्याचे त्यांनी आवर्जून सांगितले.

श्रीमती आईसाहेब सांगवडेकर यांच्या हस्ते पुरस्काराचे वितरण झाले. अध्यक्षस्थानी रुकडीकर ट्रस्टचे आनंदनाथ सांगवडेकर महाराज होते. ट्रस्टच्या सभागृहात हा शानदार सोहळा झाला. रोख रक्कम, ज्ञानेश्‍वरी, शाल, श्रीफळ आणि कुंभार महिलेचे स्मृतिचिन्ह असे पुरस्काराचे स्वरूप होते.

श्रीमती शहा पंढरपुरातील पालवी संस्थेच्या संस्थापक आहेत. पुरस्काराने सन्मानित केल्यानंतर मनोगत व्यक्त करताना त्या म्हणाल्या, ""एड्‌सग्रस्तांच्या मुलांसाठी काम सुरू केल्यावर या मुलांना ठेवायचे कोठे, हा प्रश्‍न होता. जागा, इमारत नव्हती. त्यामुळे कवी प्रा. प्रवीण दवणे यांनी चॅरिटी शो केला; मात्र त्यातून अपेक्षित रक्कम मिळाली नाही. अखेर त्यांनीच "सकाळ'मध्ये पालवी संस्थेची माहिती देऊन समाजाच्या दातृत्वाला आवाहन केले आणि जणू चमत्कारच झाला. बातमी प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या दिवसापासून सलग महिनाभर राज्यभरातून मनीऑर्डर, धनादेश, रोख रकमेचा ओघ संस्थेकडे सुरू राहिला. त्यातूनच पुढे मुलांसाठी मायेचे छप्पर उभारले. हेच काम सुरू असताना ट्रस्टने मला पुरस्कार देऊन गौरविले. त्यामुळे हा पुरस्कार नसून मोठा अशीर्वाद असल्याचे मला वाटते. आता हेच बळ मला पाचशे मुलांचे घरकुल उभारण्यासाठी मोलाचे ठरणार आहे.''

त्यांनी त्यांचे अनेक अनुभव सांगून सर्वांना पालवी संस्थेची ओळख करून दिली. आनंदनाथ महाराजांनीही पालवी संस्थेस आवश्‍यक वैद्यकीय सुविधा देण्यासाठी प्रयत्नशील राहू, असे आश्‍वासन दिले. आनंदराव साळुंखे, श्री. पाटील, शामराव चौगुले, नंदू देसाई, रवी मेस्त्री यांनी ट्रस्टसाठी दिलेल्या योगदानाबद्दल त्यांचा सत्कार केला. निरंजनदास सांगवडेकर यांनी स्वागत केले. भावना सांगवडेकर यांनी प्रास्ताविक केले. प्रा. जयंतराव देशपांडे यांनी पाहुण्यांचा परिचय करून दिला. रामराया सांगवडेकर यांनी आभार मानले

Rehabilitation project of HIV/AIDS affected orphan children

             Since last 6 years Mrs.Mangal Shah has been working actively in the society against AIDS."AIDS"has been showing its monstrous nature during last 5 to 6 years.In India there are many HIV+ orphan children whose parents are died due to AIDS.Neither society nor relatives are ready to take responsibility of such children.Many such children come to us from roads,railway stations,garbage pots,temples,cemetery etc.
               Mrs.Mangal Shah & her daughter Dimple , daughter inlaw Rajkumar have undertaken this unique work of Rehabilitation of these children through a special project named"Palawi"at Pandharpur Dist-Solapur Maharashra. We provide them nutritional food,residence,primary education,medical treatment & last but not least love,care & mental support which they require most. At present there are 53 children of age 5 months to 14 years & 6 women are getting rehabilitated at PALAWI.
